FeverTags Standard Configurations address needs of the toughest environments. Various temperature settings are available to meet your working preferences and the demands of your particular program.

At of the "standard" configurations operate as follows:
  • a. As unit is turned on, the computer goes into a 6-hour wait state where only internal diagnostics are performed to verify the software and circuitry.

  • b. Once the wait period has elapsed, the unit begins sampling the animals tympanic temperature on a 4-sample/hour (every 15 minute) schedule.

  • c. As the "trigger threshold" is realized (when the setpoint is breached), the tag will alarm
you via an extremely bright LED light and will continue to do so until the sampling temperature has dropped below the threshold for a specific period of time. Software algorithms
will continue to monitor the animal's temperature, now watching for subsequent
    breaches of the setpoint temp.

Product configurations range in the temperature ranges (Fahrenheit) of:

Sensitive detection is focused towards dairy and other sensitive applications where the operator may detect even a minor increase in the cattle's temperature. 103.0 Tags are designated by Blue on-off button.

103.6 is typically used in mild enviroments where early detection of fever is possible without great concern of afternoon temperature increases caused as a result of feeding and/or hot, humid enviroments - a good selection for general cool to warm-weather use. 103.6 tags are designated by a Green button.

The 104-degree configuration is the primary choice for humid and warmer enviroments -or- where you might want to lean towards lighter pulls. 104.0 tags are desigated by a Yellow button.

For use in the most extreme enviroments, this configuration is designed for use in areas where high humidity and excessive heat is the norm. 104.5 is designated by a Red button.

FeverTags supplies 3 ear posts per unit with each purchase. Installatin pliers are available at competitive cost.
