TECHNICAL INFORMATION Technical Information • The FeverTag is set at 103.6, although you can order the tag at any temperture with a minimuim order. •The Fevertage is a stand alone device that needs no software or computers to run. •The Fevertag is 10 times more accurate than traditional methods of temperature detection. Patented features of the tag make it the most accurate temperature detection device available. •The Fevertag’s reading is not affected by ambient temperature. •The Fevertag’s probe is designed to read temperature on the tympanic membrane. This provides for the most accurate temperature reading anywhere on the body. •Specially designed prongs on the back of the tag allow for air to circulate around the puncture holes to eliminate infections. The enlarged center of the prongs accomplishes this by inhibiting bacterial growth. •Retainer clips are made of vinyl plastic. This makes them more resistant to breakage and allows the clips to be removed to reuse the tag. •The Fevertag calibrates itself for the first 6 hours. The tag will not flash the LED during this period. This is another factor to the accuracy of the tag. •The Fevertag reads temperature every hour. If your calf exceeds set temperature, the light will flash until his temperature lowers below your pre-set temperature.
